On February 18, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying hosted a regular press conference.  

   A reporter asked about the situation in Myanmar, saying that more more negative rumors about China are spreading in Myanmar. Some people say that China supports the changes in Myanmar. What's the comment on this?

 Hua Chunying said that you actually gave answers in all the questions, you mentioned that there were some "rumors".  Indeed, there are a lot of China-related rumors on the Myanmar issue. Chen Hai, the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar, has accepted media interviews elaborated on China’s principled position clarified the rumors.  Today, I would also like to take this opportunity to solemnly responsibly state once again that those on the Internet are completely rumors, with the purpose of sabotaging instigating Sino-Myanmar relations friendship.

 Hua Chunying pointed out that with regard to what happened in Myanmar, we have stated China's position many times.  China is a friendly neighbor of Myanmar. We hope that all parties in Myanmar will take the will interests of the people as the priority, properly handle differences through dialogue within the framework of the Constitution the law, maintain political social stability.

 Hua Chunying said that the Myanmar Democratic League the army have friendly relations with China. The current situation has emerged, which China does not want to see.  We hope that all parties in Myanmar will properly handle their differences within the framework of the Constitution laws, so that political social stability can be restored.  Regarding the influence of Chinese citizens in Myanmar, we are also learning more about the situation.  Chinese companies citizens have contributed to Myanmar's country building China-Myanmar friendly cooperation. We hope that relevant parties in Myanmar will take practical measures to ensure their safety.

   有记者就缅甸局势提问，称在缅甸有越来越多关于中国的负面谣言在传播，有人称中方支持了缅甸变局，发言人对此有何评论？

华春莹说，你在提问当中其实都给出了答案，你说到有一些“谣言”。的确，目前在缅甸问题上有很多涉华谣言，中国驻缅甸大使陈海已经接受了媒体采访，详细阐述了中方的原则立场，对有关谣言进行了澄清。今天我也愿意借此机会再次郑重、负责任地声明，网络上的那些完全是谣言，目的是要破坏、挑拨中缅关系和友好。

华春莹指出，对于缅甸发生的事情，我们已经多次阐述了中方立场。中国是缅甸的友好的邻邦，我们希望缅甸各方以人民的意愿和利益为重，通过对话在宪法和法律的框架下妥善处理分歧，维护政治和社会稳定。

华春莹表示，缅甸民盟和军队同中国都有着友好关系，出现了当前这样的局面，是中方不愿意看到的。我们希望缅甸各方在宪法和法律的框架内妥善处理分歧，能够恢复政治和社会稳定。关于中方在缅公民的影响问题，我们也正在进一步了解情况。中国企业和公民在当地为了缅甸的国家建设和中缅友好合作贡献了力量，我们希望缅甸有关方面采取切实措施，保障他们的安全。
